Polarity Therapy

Polarity Therapy blends ancient wisdom with modern science to create optimum health. This modality works with the electromagnetic patterns expressed in the mental, emotional, and physical body. Based upon the belief that positive and negative poles exist in every cell within our body, polarity therapy uses massage to balance the positive and negative energies. In doing so, it works with three bio-energetic fields in the human body—long line currents that run north to south on the body, transverse currents that run east to west, and spiral currents that start at the navel and expand outward.

Polarity therapy is a comprehensive treatment that not only incorporates energy bodywork but also self-awareness, diet, and exercise. To achieve optimum health and wellness, we encourage clients to make life style changes such as eating healthy and increasing levels of activity through exercise, stretching, or yoga. Bodywork rebalances essential energies, a gentle cleansing diet eliminates blockages and toxins, Polarity yoga exercises gently ease the body’s distress and restores proper balance, and self-awareness work allows clients to identify goals and any obstacles to achieving those goals.

Polarity therapy is a very gentle approach to bodywork that promotes the uninterrupted and abundant flow of life energy in the human energy system. During the session, the client may remain fully clothed. It encourages deep relaxation, reduces chronic pain and headaches, and helps with stress related illness, insomnia, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ), neck injuries, and emotional difficulties.
